The perfect place to live in Normandy
Golf courses in Normandy are challenging with a true lynx course at Fontenay-sur-Mer and a 27 hole Parkland Course at Omaha Beach Golf Club, Bayeux. Horse riding and sand yachting are popular activities on Utah Beach.
The typical Normandy markets that we so enjoy, with fresh and delicious products of the area, are nearby in Briquebec, Saint-Mère-Eglise, Valognes and Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue.
The Manoir de Sully is within easy driving distance of Bayeux, le Mont-Saint-Michel, Saint-Malo and the D-Day landing beaches. A day trip to Paris is easy; the train station of Carentan is 10 minutes away and the journey only takes 2½ hours each way. Caen, the historic city of William the Conqueror is only an hour’s drive.
The area is also celebrated for the number of its botanical gardens, like Château de Brécy, Château Urville-Naqueville and the Manoir de Vauville.
The smart resort town of Deauville with its grand hotels and elegant casino is home of horseracing in Normandy and has a yearling fair, world polo championships and the American Film Festival and the charming seaside resorts of Trouville and Honfleur (with its picturesque port) are easily reachable by car.
Normandy is the land of horses. There are two prestigious national stud farms at Saint-Lô and Le Pin.
