Discover the Beauty & Heritage of Normandy

The Manoir de Sully is situated on the Cotentin peninsula that is part of La Manche, Lower-Normandy, facing the Channel Islands. It has an agreeable micro climate and benefits from the warm Gulf Stream. La Manche has 200 miles of cliffs, bays, and dramatic coastline and beautiful beaches such as Carteret, hidden away from mass tourism. The landcape is dressed with forests, green hills and valleys, twisting rivers and coastal foot paths plus charming villages. There are more Manoirs and Châteaux in La Manche than any part of France.

On the East side of the peninsula is Utah Beach, and the charming fishing ports of Barfleur and Saint-Vaast-La-Hougue. The latter is famous for its mussel and oyster beds. It has a busy fishing and recreational harbour with a large marina and quality fish restaurants.

On the North West side of the Peninsula is the treasure of La Hague with the tallest cliffs in Europe and the smallest port in France. On the West coast is the beach of Carteret, which is a charming seaside resort with a huge sandy beach and rock pools, perfect for children. From here ferries go to the Islands of Jersey and Guernsey.
