The Residency Calendar & Changeover Day

The year will be divided in 3 parts (seasons):

• Season One: January-February-March-April
• Season Two: May-June-July-August
• Season Three: September-October-November-December

(* The first week will be available at Christmas 2007.)

If one buys 3 weeks, one will buy a week in each part of the year. Each week of residency moves forward by one week per year, referred to as the “Rolling Calendar”. Buyers of three weeks or more will have the first choice of weeks on a “first come, first served” basis.

Buyers of 2 weeks will enjoy a week in two seasons of their choice - and they may choose their first weeks after the buyers of 3 week tranches have made their choice.  

Buyers of 1 week have their week allocated by blind draw; their week will move forward one year plus one season plus one week annually, to ensure they do not get “stuck” into one season for the whole duration of ownership. This is referred to as the “Rotation” of the weeks throughout the seasons.

It is also possible to buy 2 or 3 consecutive weeks; they will also move forward one year plus one season plus one week annually.

The fairness of this scheme has been proved in practice and experience has shown that there is extensive swapping of weeks between owners.

Owners have the prerogative to let the guest cottages to friends or via the Estate Manager during their week if they wish or are unable to fill the whole property during their stay.

Changeover Day

The changeover day will be Friday and the Estate Manager will supervise the cleaning of the Manoir and guest cottages and ensure that they are immaculately prepared before the arrival of the owners. The Estate Manager will be happy to take care of any special individual or group requests such as provisions, or meals, upon arrival. Maid service and a chef service are also available. Any such personal costs will be directly paid to the Estate Manager.
